Connecting Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to social and environmental challenges across the European Union
DLT4EU curated a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) applications for public and social good across the EU, supported by a community of developers, beneficiaries, advisors, and investors.
Our accelerator programme piloted DLT applications by connecting the expertise of leading innovators, entrepreneurs and developers with real-world, unmet challenges in the public and social sectors to create market-ready social ventures.
We focused on two
high-impact sectors
Circular Economy
The areas of supply chain traceability, ownership transfers in secondary markets, end of life compliance, tracking and tracing.
Digital Citizenship
The areas of aid traceability, data management, systems for digital identification, inclusion, and community participation.
Partners
The programme was led by Metabolic (NL), Digital Catapult (UK), and Ideas for Change (ES), with direct support and advice of the European Commission’s Joint Research Center. The DLT4EU Accelerator programme had three main nodes: Amsterdam, London and Barcelona.
